NEXT COUNTRY OVER"
came to
me while sitting in the car in my driveway, in an extraterrestrial state
of mind. A quite vivid visualization of the wheel of samsara -- the cyclic
Buddhist wheel of existence -- opened up in front of me so that I seemed
to be looking over into a next life to come on that wheel. It was some
forested land with stone buildings. And the questions posed by that glimpse
