Teresa serves memorable dinners and lunches during our visit: pan-fried cheese slabs, homemade gnocchi, spicy bowls of fusili pasta. Bowls of fresh local olives always rest on the table. Vittorio urges David and me to keep our glasses full of the homemade red wine he always has at hand. "Douglas," he says, noodging the wine bottle down the table. "Finish."
