I got invited to play a trio of songs this Saturday, April 17, as an opener for one of West Virginia’s funnest groups, The 1937 Flood, starting 7:30 p.m. at the Alban Arts Center on Main Street in St. Albans, W.Va. This is one genuinely eclectic string band with a wicked and strange sense of humor.

H.H. the Dalai Lama will visit Miami University in Oxford, Ohio from Oct. 20-22, 2010 to meet with students and give a public address. There are details on the visit here. but it looks like more specific ones will not be announced until Fall.
