A Treat for Bodhisatvas?
"BODHI MEANS WISDOM, and comes from the Eastern tradition of the illumined mind... "Bodhi Bar was inspired by the the traditions of the East, where combining whole food and health-giving herbs has been a way of life for centuries. Bodhi Bars unique formulation helps to assist in the rebuilding process of the bodys natural vitality. The cardamom, fennel, cinnamon and ginger support easy digestibility and provide great taste! Pineapple Ginger, Mango Cardamom, Cherry Schizandra. ---From the Bodhi bar website at www.bodhibar.com
"SPEAKING OF INGREDIENTS, a good soup is a Zen thing...it's balanced." ---Commentator on cooking show, TV Food Network.
THE FUZZY, LYRICAL intrusions of New Age spirituality that bracket the story, although strikingly at odds with the overall tone, suggest that there is more meaning in the universe than in Lester's wasted, tragicomic life. Like the film's rather forced obsession with homosexuality --- centered on Cooper's paranoid, homophobic colonel --- these moments seem both revelatory and opaque, as if momentarily exposing themes the rest of the movie takes great pains to bury. Perhaps future film scholars can decipher "American Beauty" as a Buddhist allegory of existence, or a critique of heterosexual manhood. For now it remains a puzzling dream, vivid in detail and overly obvious in symbolism, fueled by half-digested lumps of malice and wonder. --- From a review of "American Beauty"
"START YOUR DAY with grace --- awaken the natural way with a gradually increasing Tibetan bell-like chime. When the clock alarm is triggered, the alloy chime strikes just once, reverberating for nearly a minute --- 3.5 minutes later it strikes again. Chime strikes become more frequent over 10 minutes, eventually striking every 4 seconds until shut off. The Zen Alarm Clocks include quartz movement, 1- year warranty, and come with a 40-page book detailing their many uses and their harmonic design... Uses and benefits include: 1. Waking Up: Provides for a progressive and gradual awakening and diminished grogginess. 2. Dreams: Gentle awakening improves dream recall and can help develop lucid dreaming. 3.Affirmations: Preserves your early morning Alpha State during which affirmations are more effective. 4. Meditation - Can be used as a meditation timer, and the periodic chimes create a lovely guided meditation. 5. Meetings: Provides a tactful but persistent way to begin or end meetings on time. ---From Hamacas Online:
